Women's Fitness varies a little from men in that there are generally different end results women are looking for. Much of the general guidelines remain the same, however.

Total men's fitness consist of aerobic exercise and strength training, as well as eating nutritionally. So does total women's fitness.

It goes without saying that aerobic exercise is important to both men and women, but strength training is important for women as well. Guys might be going for that bulky muscle look, but women are looking for muscle tone. It's pretty well know muscle burns fat, but keeping your muscles toned can also reduce the problem of osteoperosis.

Some reasons women's fitness is so important:Regular physical activity improves health in the following ways:

  • Reduces the risk of dying from heart disease
  • Reduces the risk of developing diabetes
  • Helps to build and maintain healthy bones, muscles and joints
  • Helps to control weight, build lean muscle and reduce fat
  • Prevents or delays the development of high blood pressure and helps reduce blood pressure in some adolescents with hypertension

Women's fitness goals are pretty much the same as men,s fitness goals, but there are some different exercises women may incorporate than men.
